Before time gets away from me, I just want to say again a big thank you to some very special people who have supplied so much material and their memories to this site. We're not even 3 months old and we're already looking like a bonafide site, if only in content...we've still a long ways to go on the cosmetics...but I digress. A big thank you goes to Paul Urbahns, Deanna Pozesny, Bob Craft, Bennie Ketron, Cale Tharp, John Wright, Michael Marvin (Harry Harrison), Gary Pfeiffer, and my late grandmother Louise Max for supplying photos, surveys, sound files, promotional items and memories (some that precede ME!) for sharing on this site. Thanks also goes to Eric Harlan, Mark Isham, E.J. Clark, Mark Travis, Greg Laha, & Mike Baldwin in addition to Paul, Deanna, Bob, Cale, and Michael for valuable input on history and personalities. All this makes my few photos and granny's mug look pretty cool! (Hope I haven't overlooked anybody! )

We've got one more batch of goodies from Ron's scrapbook, courtesy of Judy and we'll add that in the next couple of days...just in time for weekly programming schedules from the 50's and 60's, courtesy of my partner in crime, Paul Urbahns!

In response to Mike Harmon's views on Paul Urbahns' inclination towards 'love songs', Paul talks some more shop:
I told him the aircheck was of a Sunday afternoon, the songs and delivery would have been different on Friday night "Date Night" when the kids were listening either before or after a Etown High ballgame. Sunday afternoon would have been a more adult audience. And I adjusted accordingly. WIEL actually had songs called, "big beat records" (currents and oldies) that could only be played after 6 pm. That was the loud rock songs. If I had taped a evening shift it would have sounded quite a bit different.

We are still looking for any photos of the Moo Dairy Queen or the Star-Lite Drive-in that folks might like to share scans or copies of, in addition to any pictures from E'town's past. Contact your humble webmaster if you would like to help!
