"The system is being moved to a new system and data center. I didn't know that was happening last night. Should be back up sometime tonight or tomorrow."

www.goatley.com, our web host, is temporarily down while the host system is relocated to a new datacenter.
Service will hopefully be restored by Friday, July 20, 2007. This message has been posted whenever the WIEL and WAKYOnline sites are accessed.

Unfortunate news from our web host: We had hoped it (the site) would be back up today, but we've not been able to get anyone over to the datacenter to connect the old disk drives to the new system. Someone was supposed to do that last night, but he apparently didn't make it over there. I'm not really sure how much longer it might be. Moral of the story: Keep everything local (the server is in California).

While the site may still be down at the moment, we are pleased to tell you that, once it's back up, you will now be able to get to it by going to www.1400wiel.com. The domain was acquired along with a domain for Oldies1400 Online, which can be accessed by going to www.oldies1400.com. These will be easier to remember and take less typing than the original addresses, although you will still be redirected to these URL's with no effort.

The latest update on the date back online was August 3rd, but I got this note from Hunter...
The guy in California is supposed to try Friday to get things hooked up, so it could be sometime this weekend, but I just don't know at this point.
Here's hoping...I'm chompin' at the bit to get updates online. If the system is back online during the day, due to my work schedule things may not get updated until the evening.

The upgrade is getting ever closer to completion. As of today, all sites are back up and running, although upload/update capabilities are still unavailable. Sites are as they were at the time of the change...kinda like frozen in time. This goes for all WIEL and WAKYOnline related sites. Also, the chart information on the HTML versions is 2 weeks outdated. Consult the charts on this board. Thanks! Max

All modifications have been completed. The only thing inoperative is the counter, but that is being worked on. Thanks for your patience.

Got the latest scoop...hope this time it's not down for weeks-'cause we've got a BIRTHDAY to celebrate! ;D Got some more stuff to add, including greetings from Eric Harlan and E.J. Clark!! These will also be appearing tonight on Oldies1400 Online and tomorrow on WIEL-AM 1400! Hi, Max, The system is down. The owner was installing a new kernel and expected it to be up before now. Not sure why it's still down.

Wow...I'm not so much concerned about my sites except for 1400wiel.com. Along with the radio and internet stations, we've been celebrating our 57th birthday all month, which is on the 28th. This is a pretty bad time for the server to go down (again). I'm thinking if it's still down tonight (Friday) I may have to try to temporarily piggyback, or redirect, the home page to the hosting account I've just set up for the church site I'm starting to write.
Thanks, Hunter, Max
The server is still down, and I don't know yet when it'll be back up. It was supposed to be back up last night, but that clearly hasn't happened yet.

Just got this reply from our host, Hunter:
...I made a backup of all your files on Wednesday. If the system isn't going to be back up sometime this morning, I can switch everything back to the old server for a while....

Okay, the site's back up on the old server until repairs are fixed. Per Hunter:
Done. It's temporary, and there could be some links that don't work right, but most of it should work. I'll switch it back as soon as the other system is back online.
(It may take awhile for the DNS change to propagate....)

As a result of being on the old server, the site is not able to be updated, hence last week's football scores.
