We have technically gone 'outside our format', i.e., outside the Top 40 years (1950-1989) and have added "Real Love" by the Beatles (1996), one of the last recordings by the Fab Four (John posthumously). ...we don't think listeners will mind.

Effective immediately, we will no longer be providing (or trying to provide) any kind of scheduling related to present day WIEL (ESPN), as schedule changes without any notice are becoming more the rule than the exception and it only causes frustration whereby the website is rendered unreliable. Therefore, any future programming announcements will be pertaining only to www.1400wiel.com and www.oldies1400.com and only local programming etched in stone on WIEL (ESPN Radio) will be listed on this site.

Many thanks, as always, to Paul Urbahns for donating a complete set of "Themes Like Old Times" on CD for our "The Way We Were" feature. This will undoubtedly fill in the gaps missing from the reels from which we are still pulling material and will be for awhile.
