I had an interesting conversation last night as my wife and I visited with one of our neighbors. It turns out they went to the concert and they were sharing with me some of the sights and experiences. While he didn't really give a 'concert review', he did say the music took him back...and apparently the people did, too. He said there were so many who showed up decked in 70's attire (some, he said, should NOT have still been wearing polyester!). He said there were some in their 60's who were still acting like they were in their 20's. They struggled to get out of their lawn chairs, but once up commenced to dancing...one group of people danced to ev-e-ry tune!
He also shared with me that he had grown up on the corner of Park Lane and Mantle, one street over from Joan Avenue, where most of the members of the Headstones grew up. He said alot of the time he could hear them practicing. He then told me how they came up with their name. The story goes that one day they were batting around names and since Joan Avenue runs adjacent to one of the cemeteries in town, they looked over and thought of the Headstones, and, well, there ya go.
